Hope is not idle

Good! You’ve made a move toward getting the healing support

your mind, heart & spirit need.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering therapy to California residents, and as a former hospice chaplain, a trained end-of-life doula, and a Unitarian Universalist minister, my practice is focused primarily on supporting healthcare providers, clergy, and those providing end-of-life care.

Together we create a safe space for you to share your thoughts, feelings, hopes, and struggles; we find or create together paths to healing. Sometimes support comes by way of challenging thoughts, beliefs, actions; sometimes by encouraging your approach -- if it works, don’t try to fix it.  We might begin by looking at questions of what you believe -- about illness, about death, about your role.

Working with people and families facing illness can be so rewarding! -- and also sometimes frustrating or painful. And, dealing with co-workers, staff superiors, bureaucracies and others can be more difficult than the work of providing care to a patient or client.

Burnout is a serious issue.

Thoughts, feelings and behaviors can change through supportive therapy, such that your emotional burden is diminished, and relationships — to people, places, things — can improve.
